Butler County Regional Transit Authority Awarded Veterans Transportation Contract.

April 6, 2023

The Butler County Veterans Service Commission (BCVSC) has awarded the Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA) an additional three-year transportation contract starting April 1, 2023. The new award is an extension of current services provided, covering an expanded area that will allow Veterans to be treated at various Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities.

Over 21,000 Veterans call Butler County home, and “BCRTA has provided over 24,000 trips to eligible Veterans Since 2017.” “We are thrilled to have a provider that offers our Veterans door-to-door medical transportation while being able to far exceed safety, reliability, and courteous service,” said Mike Farmer, Executive Director of the BCVSC.

“BCRTA has had a great relationship with the BCVSC since 2011,” said Matthew Dutkevicz, Executive Director of BCRTA. “We are pleased to continue this opportunity to support this agency and serve our local Veterans.”

BCVSC works with Veterans to ensure that every benefit that is entitled, is received. BCVSC advocates and assists Veterans in providing service work, transportation services, and financial assistance. BCVSC strives to maintain a strong relationship with Veterans and their families including widows, dependents, and spouses.
