All Aboard For The Summer of Celebration Shuttle
Recently there was an exciting announcement from the Butler County Regional Transit Authority. As part of their thirty-year anniversary celebration, Executive Director Matthew Dutkevicz announced a partnership that will launch the Summer of Celebration Shuttle.
The shuttle will begin operation June 21st and run through August 24th on Friday’s from 5:00 PM until midnight and Saturday’s from noon to midnight. Best of all, this transportation during those hours will be totally free!
You may not be fully aware that BCRTA is a wonderful resource in our area and that they offer many services throughout our county. It may also surprise you to know they even have an express service to downtown Cincinnati for the workforce or just an individual day trip.
This Summer of Celebration Shuttle is an amazing opportunity for you to experience the convenience of quality public transportation and have access to all the shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment on High and Main streets, German Village and even Spooky Nook. Imagine being able to experience the downtown area with no worry about where to park or how far you have to walk. There will be many convenient stops along the way so you can stop in for a drink, pick up a gift or dine at your leisure knowing your “ride” is just a few feet away.
The Chamber and the business community is extremely excited about this summer service. This is a great way to move customers and visitors seamlessly throughout a major portion of the downtown shopping and entertainment district, as well as popular locations like the shops at Spooky Nook and Marcum Park.
We are hoping you will get on board and give it a try, but to incentivize you there will be prizes for those who use the loop. Ridership cards will be available from the bus drivers, the Visitors’ Center, and participating businesses. You will need to have the card validated each time you get on the bus. Once your card is filled, you can enter to win a prize. Prizes will be drawn each week. The final day of the loop is August 24th, which is the same day as Hamilpalooza. Over the past several years, Hamilpalooza has become the marketplace of Bulter County with hundreds of vendors, live entertainment, and food trucks in Marcum Park. This year with the shuttle, Hamilpalooza becomes more of a city-wide event where you can experience the event and then hop on the bus and enjoy all that Main and High streets have to offer.
The shuttle is truly a stress-free way to Explore Hamilton with your friends and family. More information will soon be available on the BCRTA website, the Explore Hamilton App and various social media platforms. So, give it a try and get on board, you may even win a prize.
